My New Assistant Isn’t Pulling His Weight

Jul 10, 2009 by Rebecca Kelley | Charlie

I’ve just about wrapped up my first week at 10e20, and I must admit that the job isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Chris promised that I’d have an assistant to help me with client work, blogging and other tasks and he’s proved to be a disappointment so far. In fact, I managed to catch him sleeping when he’s supposed to be finishing up a client report that’s due today:

charlie dozing

Slacker.

Happy Friday, everyone! I’ve just wrapped up the best week of work I can remember in quite a while, and I’m excited for what’s in store for me with 10e20 in the future. See you Monday!

Probably my favorite post ever. I promise I'll talk to him and get him on a better schedule moving forward :)

Charlie is wise. Take time out of the day to cuddle with friends, you can take care of the bones later. :)

Well at least you had a great first week. It's always a good thing to be excited about the company you work for.

I don't think that Charlie is sleeping … I think he's ruminating & percolating new creative ideas for 10e20. Isn't he the guy who suggested BING to MS?

Hi Rebecca…just jumping on the good ship 10e20…stalking you from SEOMoz :) …my assistant and your assistant should do lunch, they have a lot in common – Cadbury is a chocolate Labrador and an expert foot warmer in Winter…have another great week next week!

Was on seomoz too and ended up here, congratulations on your post here. Hope you manage to get Chris work harder hehe, or you exhausted him already :P

Looks like the assistant is following his new bosses lead! Like weren't you supposed to be working and not taking pics?

Chris took the photo–I just exploited it. :D

Rebecca, you might want to make sure you block Charlie's computer from CuddlyOrNot.com. Last thing you want is your assistant rating himself or other pups all day long. Haha.
