I engage in paid search marketing simply because I expect more traffic and buyers of my products. But the truth remains that I'm lost in managing it effectively.

I know the benefits of paid search and I know I'm supposed to be doing it, but my finances literally do allow me presently.

You can mesure success by taking the Sales vs the Traffic. If i paid for 500 visitors and got 5 sales that means i got 1% of sales.

If i paid .10 for that keyword that means i would have paid 50 bucks for that. So if i make 10-20 dollars a sale im in the bank making 50-100 dollars so breaking even or making some cash.

Well done, Shannon! Another interesting article. Yes, without knowing one's goal in doing a paid search campaign for business, it would be difficult to measure success.
